Local Pathways Fellowship Partners with Hack for Earth
SDSN Youth and its Local Pathways program announce the partnership with Hack for Earth. Hack for Earth is an online global hackathon at the upcoming world exhibition Expo2020 in Dubai. Hosted by the non-profit, non-political organization the Hack for Earth Foundation, in collaboration with the Swedish Pavilion at Expo2020, it aims to bring people and organizations all over the world together to find real solutions to the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Hack for Earth has three core elements: Dream for Earth, a campaign to encourage people from all over the world to share their dreams for our planet by 2045, Hack for Earth Hackathon in October this year, and Pitch for Earth, where the Hackathon’s winners will pitch their solutions on stage in the Swedish Pavilion at Expo2020, to our distinguished jury. After the Hackathon, the winning solutions will be supported by the Hack for Earth Foundation and its partner organizations in a high-standard, customized accelerator program.
This partnership will allow the current and graduated Local Pathways Fellowship fellows to participate in the Dream of Earth campaign by formulating the challenges to be included in the Hackathon. And starting August, the fellows can apply to participate in the Hackathon focusing on solving SDG 11 challenges.
The Local Pathways Fellowship is honored to be a non-profit official partner organization to Hack for Earth and encourages people and organizations worldwide to join the forces and collaborate to find real solutions to the 17 global goals.
