The sixth cohort of Local Pathways Fellows (LPF) is bringing together an exceptional and diverse network of 99 young professionals from 48 different countries and 80 cities. This group is united by a shared passion for promoting inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable urban environments.

Amna is an experienced Research Analyst and Lead of the Sustainability & Compliance Department at All Pakistan Textile Mills Association. Her research areas include the economy, public policy issues, sustainability and compliance, etc. As Department Lead, she oversees operations, liaises with stakeholders, and advocates for policies that promote social and environmental compliance. She has completed her M.Phil in Public Policy from PIDE.

Tom Tonken, Musonda

Lusaka, Zambia

Tom is an expert in international development, based in Zambia. During his postgraduate studies (Master of Public Administration), He participated at the Farafina Institute in Germany and Kenya, focusing on Africa-EU relations. He is an alumnus of the World Bank Group Youth Summit, and the Common Futures Conversations under the Chatham House in the UK. He has experience working on USAID & UKaid funded projects, and Zambian Parastatals.

Abimbola is a passionate advocate for creating sustainable and resilient cities. As a Doctoral Researcher at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte's Infrastructure, Design, Environment and Sustainability (IDEAS) Center, he specializes in human-centred design and traffic safety, working to achieve the goal of Vision Zero. He is also the Founder of Community for Development in Africa, an NGO working towards promoting safe communities.

Ally Zlatar is an artist and activist who founded The Starving Artist to create advocacy and systemic reform through creative voices. Zlatar's "This Body of Mine" campaign supports individuals and artists from refugee-seeking backgrounds. She has won multiple awards, including The Princess Diana Legacy Award 2021 and King Hamad Award for Youth Empowerment 2022. Zlatar's art explores themes of lived-in experiences as a catalyst for change-making.

Shaurya Chauhan is an architect, urbanist & green building professional based in New Delhi. He is currently employed in India Smart Cities Mission, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, India. He is an Accredited Professional with the IGBC (New Delhi), USGBC (Washington D.C.) and member of ISOCARP (Hague). Shaurya has a keen interest in the fields of urban water resilience, and application of analytics in the urban realm.

He has been a speaker at SDSN Youth, NYCI, RoS Congress and many different institutions.

Manasa Garikaparthi works as an Urban Designer at AECOM, with a focus on providing solutions for the complex social, cultural, and ecological systems that shape cities. She aspires to integrate urban design with sustainable principles to promote inclusive, resilient, and sustainable development. She has also represented India in the ISOCARP Young Planning Professional workshop in Qatar and the EU +CityxChange Sustainable Energy in Cities, Norway.

Fatma Yesilkus was born in Turkey and has certificates from 50 respected institutions in the fields of entrepreneurship and politics. She completed her master’s with the first degree. Yesilkus was chosen first in the digital entrepreneurship case competition held by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in Turkey. She continues PhD in the field of business. She is a writer for Harvard Business Review Turkey and Vice President of the Academy Association.

Florencio is a Colombian youth leader and impact entrepreneur residing in Brazil. He founded Glocals, connecting migrants with local communities through cultural exchange to combat discrimination. He also serves as the local government engagement manager of MYPC evolving youth at high level discussions. He is a former member of different local councils and holds a B.A in international businesses and graduate studies in Social innovation.

Nandini Tanya, Lallmon

Port Louis, Mauritius

Appointed as African Youth Charter Hustler for Mauritius by the African Union, she advocates for sustainable development at the intersection of human rights and technology, focusing on freedom of speech, right to information and access to technology. In her role of Community Leader for Internet Health at Digital Grassroots, she seeks to empower minority groups to protect their rights to privacy and security in the virtual and physical worlds.

Tishya Rao is an urbanist and designer passionate about exploring equitable solutions for housing, mixed-use and urban design projects using adaptive strategies and participatory processes. She is an M.Arch candidate at USC School of Architecture and holds a B.S in Urban Studies from Cornell University. She has previously worked at Urban Design Research Institute on research involving indigenous communities and informal housing in Mumbai, India.

Shreya is an Architect and Urban Practitioner in the Sustainable Cities and Transport Program at WRI India. She focuses on improving road safety and promoting people friendly and equitable public infrastructure and transport. Previously, she has engaged with SDG advocacy through UNLEASH, a Global Innovation Lab, 2022, Sustainability Idea Labs at London Design Biennale, 2021 and Local Project Challenge at the World Urban Forum 10, 2020.

He leads Kiru Energy, a sustainable energy company providing smart energy solutions for homes and businesses in Africa.

Judith is a surveyor with a background in land governance and data management, keen on redefining the use of data and observation technology in land administration. She holds a fellowship from the Netherlands Land Academy (LANDac). She is a member of the IGAD Youth and Land Steering Committee implementing a project on “Increasing Youth Involvement in Urban Participatory Planning in Katanga Slum Community” under the Cities Youth Initiative.

He is also an Analyst at Impact Hub Accra, supporting groundwork for Net Zero Accra, a platform mobilizing stakeholders for the e-mobility transition.

He currently serves as a project manager for the Rivers and Mountains Conservancy, a state conservation agency located in heavily urbanized Los Angeles, USA, where he works to improve community-led conservation, good governance, and natural hazard resilience. He holds an MEM from the Yale School of the Environment and a BA from Pomona College.

Urban Planner, Mobility Advocate Estéfanny is an Architect and Urbanist with an MSc in Spatial and Urban Planning. During her bachelor, she worked as an intern at the Public Ministry of Brasília. After studies, she started to engage with urban mobility, while studying Data Analysis to focus her impact. She volunteers at Trufi and dedicates her time to building data dashboards for public transportation apps worldwide.

Daniela is a Peruvian environmental lawyer, with a huge passion for sustainable development and reducing inequalities. She has worked in NGOs and public institutions, like the Climate Policy Institute or the Municipality of Lima. She has work experience with vulnerable populations and climate change, as well as energy transition measures. Her main goal is to achieve climate justice in Peru.

She uses a participatory and community-driven approach to interact with the community.

Mohamed is a graduate student in Energy Engineering at The American University in Cairo, Egypt. Mohamed is advocating for SDGs in his community as an ambassador for Sustainable Development through his founded college club. Mohamed interned as a Research Assistant at the AUC Center for Environment and Sustainability and Princeton's program of Community Development, but he currently works as an associate consultant, trainer, and entrepreneur.

Elissa worked with Sirens Associates a consulting company which its works orient around the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

Valeria Cerpa is an architect and urban planner from Peru. She is collaborating with the building of a dashboard and digital tools for urban planners in the US. She has been intern at US Green Building Council in 2022. Valeria has also been a researcher at Universidad Catolica de Santa Maria. Advocate for the resilience and sustainability of communities. Her work has been recognized by GI-TOC, UNICITI, Young Global Changers and One Young World.

Sandra Dankwart is a passionate activist about climate change, refugee, and child rights issues. She has a background in development studies and global political economy. Sandra was able to be a youth delegate for the United Nations Youth Assembly in 2018, where her passion for the SDGs began. Sandra is keen on giving back to the community, volunteering in many capacities, including Fridays for Future and UNICEF.

Mr. Ivan Harris Tanyag is a graduate student at the School of Urban and Regional Planning (SURP) in University of the Philippines-Diliman. He is working as a research assistant at the Ateneo School of Government (ASOG) under PARTICIPATE, a three-year program that aims to promote vital and inclusive electoral reforms in the Philippines. He has previously presented his research work on transport policy and economics in several research conferences.

Mar Mikhelidze was born in Kutaisi, Georgia. In 2014 Mar moved to Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. She studied psychology at a bachelor's level. Psychodiagnosis and consulting - master's level. Mar started cycling in 2015. Since 2019 she has been a bike activist. She is one of the founders and head of NGO - Caucasus Cycling Network. In September of 2022 Mar Mikhelidze joined the global initiative - she's the Bicycle Mayor of Tbilisi.

Ananda is a recent graduate urbanist and architect from the northernmost Brazilian Amazon. She volunteers at the Orinoco's Project by Cáritas, which focuses on sanitation for outside shelter Venezuelan refugees in Roraima. She works as Urban Planning and Climate Justice research support and as a self-employed. Her deep commitment to environmental justice, affordable housing, and resilient cities motivates her work, activism, and academic goals.

Saima Shaikh is an aspiring urban designer based in the upcoming metropolis of Pune, India.
