Local Pathways Fellowship 2023 Graduates

The 2023 Cohort of the Local Pathways Fellowship graduated this past December. Sixty-two fellows from 31 countries successfully completed the program and received a certificate of completion. The overall cohort graduation rate reached ∼62 percent.

A year ago, amidst rigorous selection, these hundred dedicated fellows embarked on a journey committed to driving impactful change for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within their communities and beyond. Throughout this nearly year-long program, they honed their skills, blending the knowledge and tools necessary to tackle the complex challenges posed by the SDGs at the grassroots level.

Fellows completed the Sustainable Cities Cities developed by Aromar Aromar Revi and connected through the LPF webinar series with representatives from Fourth Economy, Global Building Network, Italian Climate Network SDGs Today, and CityAdapt. But most importantly, they developed a project of their own that improves the quality of life in the city they represent.

These graduates now stand as part of a dynamic, diverse network of like-minded individuals, fostering collaboration, sharing experiences, and amplifying the impact of their initiatives on a global scale. From conceptualizing innovative projects to implementing real-world solutions, the fellowship provided a platform to turn theory into tangible, positive change.

Their engagement with local and global stakeholders transformed them into advocates for change, influencing policies and emphasizing the crucial importance of sustainable development in their respective regions.

Armed with invaluable experiences and insights, we encourage these graduates to remain at the forefront of sustainable development. Their dedication, passion, and resilience embody the essence of the Local Pathways Fellowship, significantly contributing to the realization of the SDGs.
